A fast, simple, universal solution to all ESA problems

This resource is about how a grand intention of improving the public safety could go so, so wrong in the hands of the ESA parasites drunk with entitlement and absolute power.

Today the Electrical Safety Authority:

1. abuses or misuses its power in criminal ways
2. celebrates increase in the fatalities after hiding the truth and misrepresenting a tragedy as an achievement
3. charges unnecessary fees for unnecessary licences and unnecessary inspections
4. and pays tens of millions of dollars to unnecessarily high salaries of its unnecessary executives
5. who intentionally and knowingly deteriorate electrical safety in Ontario
6. To extract even more illicit money from victims, ESA allows clueless unlicensed inexperienced people to do residential electrical work. It finds many defects and charges them multiple inspection fees. At the same time ESA bans highly experienced properly educated, adequately trained, licensed electricians and master electricians from doing the identical work if they want to be self-employed, unless each of them pays ESA thousands of dollars every year in multiple, high, but unnecessary licensing and inspection fees
   
and
7. excludes rank and file electrical workers and Ontario public from the decision-making process
8. ESA neither answers questions nor addresses complaints in a meaningful way
9. Hiding the truth, lack of transparency and lies are a sign of abuse of power, wrongdoing, conspiracy, or crime

This resource is also about well known solutions to all problems:

1. end ESA's monopoly. Shift decision-making power to the public
   
2. create a fully independent body, an Independent Supervisory Body (ISB)
3. and another body to represent Ontario public. Or two in one and give it a decisive role. The ultimate decision making power should belong to the public. ESA's single purpose and obligation must be to serve the best interests of the public and its safety. And not the other way around
4. start an interactive online public forum where anyone is able to ask a question or file a complaint and get a fast meaningful answer. Everything must be available online
5. give highest priority to transparency, openness, and access to information
6. make it very fast and extremely easy to punish ESA employees for delays with answering questions in a meaningful truthful way. Penalize for unlawful restrictions on access to information
7. anyone should be able to get justice, to sue ESA or defend him/her/self. ESA shall fully cover opponent's legal expenses if she is unable to pay or if he is an electrical worker who paid fees to the ESA
8. Restructure! Implement other improvements
9. ESA increased mandatory residential licensing fees 3000% or so on July 1, 2006 and then Ontario College of Trades jacked its license fee up 500% or so on January 1, 2013. Inspection fees have also increased. Has it led to a proportional improvement in the province electrical safety? Have tens or hundreds of millions of dollars paid to ESA and OCOT executives since 2006 made homes much safer specifically due to humongous fee increases? What if safety improves not because but despite the ESA? The Government shall launch an audit but exclude safety improvements resulted from other sources such as rapid pace of technological development, better products, safer systems, etc., that have nothing to do with the ESA
   

This resource is also about changing the ESA. About making it open, transparent, democratic, law abiding! Governed by the core values of integrity, trust, rule of law, and accountability to Ontario public. And not by unjust self-enrichment of ESA criminal executives
